ZONE HOTEL

Port Harcourt is a geologically challenging digging environment. To overcome the technical challenge with a cost effective solution, the design was limited to one artificial basement and the ground floor was elevated which intensified the prestigious feel of the entrance only to be enhanced by the transparency of the light structure and the breath taking connection of the atrium to the sky. The hotel is designed with a meticulous focus on luxury and privacy as the guest rooms are separated from the entertainment area by an atrium covered by a skylight. The entertainment facilities house a ballroom, gym, spa and a piano bar at the rooftop. Stylistically it is a modern sober elevation, the fagade is double skinned with natural stone cladding mixed with a light structure that is not a merely aesthetic proposal but answers primarily to different functions of heat and acoustic isolation.
